Dates: 2nd July - 10th August 2012
Team of 10 students
Location: Killingworth
Welcome meeting: Thursday 28th June at 4pm
Practice based day: To be decided at welcome meeting
Project: To work for Headway Arts looking at possible design approaches and concepts for converting a church building in Blyth to a multi-functional arts and performance space.
You would need to be available for the majority of this 6 week period. There is not an expectation that you will take part in the archiGRAD summer school full time in this period as we realise that most students will have to fit this round part time jobs, but there is a minimum expectation that you will commit to attend a full ‘studio/practice based’ day each week and then do other work as and when you can.
As part of the studio/practice day, the firm will provide up to 2 hours reviewing/advising/mentoring support. If you are planning on taking a holiday within this period, do not worry, there are other practices lined up and further start dates will be announced shortly.
FaulknerBrowns is geared up to welcome you on your chosen practice–based day but also has space available for you to use during general working hours too as well as access to laptops.
