We are part of The Architecture Centre Network, which is a network of Architecture Centres across England and Northern Ireland. The Network is reforming as a new organisation. We will link to more information when it is available.

 

 

The regional partner to Constructing Excellence, the single organisation charged with driving the change agenda in construction, housing and regeneration.  CENE’s mission is to deliver improved industry performance resulting in a demonstrably better built environment. Our vision is for the UK construction industry to realise maximum value to all clients, end users and stakeholders and exceed their expectations through the consistent delivery of world-class products and services.

 

 

Design Event began in 2005 initially as a festival and has since expanded into an organisation delivering an annual programme of design based exhibitions, talks and events across the North East of England. Each year they curate the Design Event North East festival celebrating design throughout the region including NewcastleGateshead, Sunderland and Middlesbrough.  

 

 

The Government's statutory adviser on the historic environment. They aim to make a real difference to England's historic environment and to address its most urgent needs.

 

 

A national charity working to help local people and regeneration professionals make better community buildings, spaces, homes and neighbourhoods. They are passionate about empowering communities through the design and regeneration process.

 

 

The national housing and regeneration agency whose role is to create opportunities for people to live in high quality, sustainable places. The HCA provides funding for affordable housing, bringing land back into productive use and improves quality of life by raising standards for the physical and social environment.

 

 

For over 40 years, North of England Civic Trust (NECT) has been active in conservation and regeneration across the North East of England, North Yorkshire and Cumbria.  As a civic trust it champions public involvement in the processes that shape the environment, often working with local groups.

 

 

PlanningAid England provides free, independent and professional planning advice to communities and individuals who cannot afford to pay professional fees.

 

 

 

 

 

The Royal Institute of British Architects champions better buildings, communities and the environment through architecture and our members. They provide the standards, training, support and recognition that put their members – in the UK and overseas – at the peak of their profession.  With Government, they work to improve the design quality of public buildings, new homes and new communities.
