Apollo Pavilion: An Experiment in Total Environment

Northern Architecture’s Education Team are delivering a creative education programme, working with three local schools and a group of creative practitioners, that will inspire the school children, from Peterlee New Town, about their built heritage.

PROJECT SUMMARY

This youth engagement project involves young people experiencing, participating in and generating cultural activity through a range of architectural and creative visits and workshops which will result in the youth-led transformation of underused buildings and outdoor spaces in Gateshead within one year. An NE Generation project supported by Northern Architecture.

PROJECT SUMMARY

A project working with pupils from Kingsmeadow School, Gateshead, developing feasible designs for an outside learning space in their school grounds. As part of the project, pupils will be working with surveying students from Northumbria University.

PROJECT SUMMARY: The archiGRAD summer school builds upon the core archiGRAD project and offers opportunities for architecture and other built environment students to gain work experience over the summer months based within local practices and community engagement projects.
