    Behind the Scenes Tour of Northern Stage

    Discover what makes Northern Stage tick by joining us for a backstage tour. Find out more about the history of the theatre and explore our three stages. You can have a nosey in the dressing rooms, spot your favourite costume in the wardrobe department and learn how we put together a show from designing the set and rehearsals to lighting and sound effects.

    Heritage Tour of The Tyneside Cinema

    The Tyneside Cinema is a unique and historic building that's well worth seeing first-hand. One of our expert tour guides will show you the Cinema's original Classic screen; watch an original newsreel; see the permanent exhibition which brings the building's past and newsreel history to life.

    Building Tour of The Sage Gateshead

    The Sage Gateshead is an interesting and beautiful building, designed by internationally recognised British architects Foster & Partners. The tour visits many of the areas of the building that are not normally open to the public. The history of the site, the architecture, and the vision of the organisation are all discussed by an experienced member of the team

    Behind the Scenes Tour of Dance City Building

    Discover the magnificent architecture of Dance City, a £7.6m purpose-built dancehouse in the heart of Newcastle-upon-Tyne. On the tour you can see our dance studios, some of the largest in the UK, alongside our state-of-the-art 250-seater theatre, including a sneak peak backstage and even inside the dressing rooms.

    Flour Power, behind the Scenes at BALTIC.

    Flour Power: Behind the Scenes at BALTIC. Marc Hawes-Johnson, Building Services Assistant at BALTIC will lead a tour behind the scenes at BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art. He will talk about the energy efficiencies in operation as well as taking you to areas not normally open to the public, including the Energy Centre where BALTIC can generate its own power.
