Area based regeneration in Newcastle - A meeting for community and voluntary groups
An NCVS Event: The opportunity to discuss with Phil Joyce, Director of Area Based Regeneration, Newcastle City Council, how community and voluntary groups have been involved in local schemes, what has worked well and what could be improved for the future.
The talk focuses on the human aspects of intentional communities and is especially relevant for those considering setting up low impact housing co-ops or collective land projects. Case studies will be taken from her book, Surviving and Thriving on the Land, and there will be information on land match, a technique for finding like minded people with whom to set up projects.
